The Role: Fabrication Operative

This position will be based at our Carole Park branch.
Responsibilities include:
Operation
-
Operate various fabrication machinery, such as saws, plasma cutters, and welding equipment, to cut, shape, and assemble steel products.
- Ensure steel components are fabricated according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Perform regular checks and minor maintenance on fabrication equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Workplace Health and Safety
- Take responsibilities on behalf of the organisation, but must also comply with requirements as workers, including:
- Ensure adherence to WHS policies and procedures
- Maintain relevant knowledge of WHS issues
- Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours
To be considered for this role you will need:
Essential skills/experience
- Good dexterity
- Attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- Physical stamina
- Ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature
- Ability to operate different tools, and to troubleshoot equipment problems
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills

- Similar industry experience
