The Role: Yard Operative
We see your role as one of the most critical roles for our business. You will be responsible for the productivity of the yard on a day-to-day basis and ensuring the operational and hands-on tasks are performed in a successful manner.

This position will be based at our Townsville branch.
Responsibilities include:
Operation
- Assist with deliveries, un-loading and loading of vehicles at the branch
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Prepare site and equipment
- Shut down job and clean up
- Collaborate with the team in dispatch, operations and customer service to deliver the best customer service possible
Workplace Health and Safety
- Take responsibilities on behalf of the organisation, but must also comply with requirements as workers, including:
- Ensure adherence to WHS policies and procedures
- Maintain relevant knowledge of WHS issues
- Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours
To be considered for this role you will need:
Essential skills/experience
- Hold a current Forklift license
- Previous experience in a similar yard environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
- Experience with receiving, processing, and shipping orders
- Experience in manual handling
Desired skills/experience
- Similar industry experience
